Food

First Thursday in September

6.30a. Morning alarm! Are the nights getting shorter?
Tiffany’s is so far away… we settled for Flurys. Breakfast with Renuka.
Jehangir Sabavala Memorial Lecture at the Museum: The Maya and Rasa in Contemporary Art by Dr. Alka Pande…
Ankush Safaya at Sakshi Gallery 1. His 3rd Show. Uses a soldering iron as a tool.
Pallavi Singh at Sakshi Gallery 2 upstairs. Shapes her art from gender cues in language and culture. 2026.

20260723: Am I hungry tonight?

We’ve got two eateries called CafĂ© Paris this end of town. The lower end is near Colaba Market and has been there forever. The other is six storeys up in Upper Colaba and is my go to place most of the time. They have a table for two, and can seat upto 24. (But that was once upon a time!)
The monsoon menu is often recycled leftovers. But, good.

The collage above brought memories of a huge poster sent to me by Glynnis.

This, below, is her work… December 2020.
